Water pipes, etc., not to be placed where water will be polluted

Power to cut off private water supply or to turn off water

Joint and several liability of owners and occupiers for offence in relation to water supply


Water supply


(1) The Chairperson with the approval of the Council may
provide gratuitous supply of wholesome water to the public within New Delhi and may, for that purpose,
erect public hydrants or other conveniences.

(2) The Chairperson may with like approval close a public hydrant or other convenience when it is no
longer required for the supply of wholesome water to the public.
